This is a long shot for sure, but I would like to acquire some proper head stamped 500 L Max brass. I am in the process of cutting down 50AK to use, but I really like having proper stamped brass, especially if using on a hunt over seas. Please pm me if available

Hahahahahahaha!!! You ain’t getting mine. Besides Hornady who actually ever made proper headstamped brass?? I contacted my contacts at Hornady to see if they had some stashed away a few years ago, the reply was a resounding NOPE.

This may be worth looking into, the company Quality Cartridge lists 500 maximum brass in their catalog. I have headstamped .338-378kt brass from them, and it looks like good stuff to me. They are pretty random with their runs I think they only do a run with enough orders. I can’t speak to their 500 max brass quality but if a few folks here were interested ( I would be) maybe we could get them to do a run.

I’ve used Quality brass in my 9.3x64 with no issues, I would be interested.

Interesting. They sell to Grizzly and Reed's according to the website. Not too bad a price for the 500L max brass, considering, but the 475L max pretty high.

I have had 500 max on my list with them for over 2 years now.
It’s easy to cut down a larger case, or run heavy 500 Linebaughs thru it. You never know someone may have a handful laying around.

I too am looking for some 500 Max brass. I'm on the list for Quality Cartidge. I wonder what their backlog looks like for it. I'd go in for a few hundred pieces if it put us over the hurdle. I really like having correct head stamps.

As far as quality cartridge he said he thinks they will do a run by end of the year. More interest helps!
