Repair of damaged Ruger SS 44Spl cylinder ratchet

This issue has been resolved for a while now. It was about a ten-day turnaround with Microtech Welding and that includes round trip shipping from Alaska.

I have to give a big shoutout to their service. The weld fill was so close that I was able to chuck the cylinder in my lathe and it only required .004” off the diameter and .003” off the length to clean up. I didn’t bother to do anything to the face where the ratchet pushes and you can’t even tell in operation.

The camfer on the chambers doesn’t look factory, or is it?
