Have you ever had a ruger employee doing “R&D” post their project in here? Or see it on any forum? More likely than not something is not quite as it seems. ***** Don’t see photos or a link. What are you guys seeing? As for a "factory custom,” unless Bill Ruger or Bill, Jr., ordered it made, I wouldn’t call it “factory.” To do so without family authorization puts it under the table. David Bradshaw Way back when this was first posted. A member who has gone dark that might work for Ruger started claiming to be working for some kind of Ruger custom shop. He was posting pics of a gun stating it could become a Ruger factory offering. Then it got deleted…. |

That wasn't the first shortened barrel Super Redhawk in .480 I've seen on GB. It looks like Ruger should be paying more attention to custom work being done on their Super Redhawk. I called them and asked if they would make an Alaskan with a 5" barrel, nope. |

Sort of reminds me of a couple of the guns Whitworth had in his collection. The fluting on the barrel of the blued one seems identical to the fluting of the Huntington gun from Gunbroker.
