I ran across this at the LGS- an unmarked custom with a claimed gunsmith but no paperwork or provenance. The work is well done and the sight upgrades alone were worth the price of admission. Since there’s no more knowledgeable group on custom single actions, I thought I’d post it and see who y’all think is the builder.

Kinda looks like Reeder's vapor honed finish.

Kinda looks like Reeder's vapor honed finish. But if it was Reeders it would have laser engraved nakid ladies all over it. Interesting gun none the less

Interesting gun none the less Maybe on a full build, but for an action job, refinish, and a front sight, he wouldn't mark it generally. Looks like one of his front sights, but I don't have one in hand to verify at the moment.

Interesting gun none the less This is literally the same order in which I thought about this. Looks like something Reeder would make. But doesn't look like Reeders because there's no gratuitous writing and artwork on it. 😁

Reeder will supposedly NOT put the chrome rims, wide tires, fuzzy dice, and mud flaps on when requested.

The gun looks plated, or painted. A reeder gun would have the barrel crown, that one does not. Without checking the inner workings, it looks like a stock gun, with added sights painted up.

The finish appears to be a matte blue with the main and grip frame turning plum. The machine and finish work is very clean.

Don't know the builder, but want that rear sight. Looks like a Millett Series 100, no longer in production. eBay is your best bet. Got one like that on a Redhawk and was disappointed to find they aren't made any more.

Is the barrel drilled for the basepin or just friction? Neat gun no matter what.
