I do too and Hornady 325 grn XTPs. But, right now I'm glad to have them... I like those 275 gold dots…. People poo-poo them. Got them on clearance before “the flu”. I screwed up bad, but it's not the first time. Probably won't be the last. Backordered 10 boxes from three different retailers. Of course, they all became in stock and shipped at the same time. That's life. Then Midway had the XTP Blem Bullets. I called them and bought all 700 they had for $11/100. I can't find why they were blemished??? I rarely shoot jacketed bullets. The 275s were what I wanted for my JRH 480 Ruger Midframe Flattop. The XTPs are reserved for my Ruger #1 475 Linebaugh. I miss the good old days...

Didn't know the Speers were gone. Thought just waay behind. Didn't know Rainier plated bullets made those either. Curious now.

My .480 is one of the re-speced guns and I loves heavy bullets. The Montana 385 grain is the exact same mold design as the the CPD 370 grain which was discontinued. It is great in my .480 SRH. The 420 grain LBT design sized .475" from Montana Bullet Works is another awesome bullet. If you can find them the Speer 400 grain (discontinued) is very accurate. It doesn't expand much at 480 and 475 velocities but it still kills just fine. From a scoped .480 you can expect under 2" at 100 yards. That bullet over the max charge of 300MP is an awesome load. Those bullets show up now and then on GB.

Anyone have experience with the Barnes 275 gr bullets? That's about the only "jacketed" 0.475"'s I've seen available.
