There used to be a really good article on the 500JRH on the bear tooth bullets technical page about reloading and making a lee crimp die for it. Is it possible that someone here may have saved a copy of that article ?

I'm glad I could help.
It looks like that article should be required reading for new owners of the .500JRH. Good stuff for sure.

Now that brass is factory available, the only advantage the JRH holds over the Linebaugh is the availability of more jacketed bullets. Since I don't shoot anything but cast, that's a wash.
The Linebaugh does take heavier bullets and, when loaded to potential in the bfr, surpasses the velocity of the jrh with lighter bullets.
All this led me to decide to buy one of each. Now I have 500L's dedicated to 355gr and 525gr cast and a JRH dedicated to 430gr. Those three cost less combined than the 83 in 475/480 I have on orfer!
