I recently won a box of Garrett 44 ammo off Gunbroker. T he seller informed me UPS quouted 40 something dollars. I have never mailed ammo before but we both thought it would have been in the $20 range. What's your experience? Thanks!

Last I knew, an ORM-D box was required. Only one shipper was doing it. UPS ? The last time the shipper did not have labeled ORM-D boxes and just grabbed a box and a black marker and wrote on the ORM-D on several sides of box. Winked at me, and things worked out fine. SageBrush Mackay, here on forum ships ammo regularly, find and ask.

I've had a fair amount of ammo shipped for $10-15. I just looked on Blue Collar Reloading and 10 boxes of .223 ships to Montana from NC for $12.95.

Size of the box, times weight is how they bill. The prices just keep going up, whether the seller ups their prices to match or not.

Thanks for all of your input. The seller is going to investigate why so expensive.
