I talked about my parts gun. A 6.5 inch NM Blackhawk Large frame.357. It has a SBH Hammer and Steel Dragoon grip frame. I would love to send to Ronnie and make a 360 DW out of it. But that might be a couple years away. I have some 360 DW brass. What if I trimmed the brass to .357 length. It is stronger brass and marked .360 so it should be easy to keep it out of My K-frames. Do you think I could boost my velocity up say 150 fps with 180 grain bullets? ...tj

No. The strengthened web would reduce powder capacity. The Blackhawk is a very strong action and the smaller diameter of the 357 versus the other Blackhawk chamberings makes it very strong. But it simply is not a 353 or a BFR.
I don't hotrod the 357 mag like I used too, even in my 353. The want for extra power from the 357 just led me to get a maximum. They can still be found for about the cost of a bfr and provide the performance that murdered magnum brass in a single shot, yet still provide excellent case life and keep pressures reasonable.

That makes sense. Trimming the thicker brass reduces case capacity to the point it pretty much defeats the purpose. And you are right that I could get a maximum for the price of a BFR. I BET Ronnie would fit a 360 Cylinder for less than either. I guess I should call and find out. ...tj
