Caliber etc...Thanks for responses! A 9mm glock is the most prolific defensive gun in the world were i betting so it only makes sense to use one in that role. Parts and magazines should be quite plentiful should the S ever HTF.

Glock 23 is in my bag I carry everyday. Usually a .357 of some fashion also. Especially in the winter/hunting season. Currently a S&W 66.

Glock 23 with multiple extra mags in Bug out. Smith Model 67 in the trunk as a get home.

My get home bag is a 3 day supply of food, water purification, medical equipment, my carry gun, and my truck rifle. Due to my job, I always have multiple options for footwear in my vehicle so I should be covered for different times of year and how wet it is or how many rivers/ditches are between me and home. I think these kinds of kits are largely decided by the environment in which you reside.

A pound of liorice, some Heath bars, a Remington Tac 14 that was ported and NP3'ed etc by Suarez International (the stock finish started rusting too soon when kapt in the car trunk). There is some spare ammo for the T14 with it, and some spare Glock and Hellcat mags in the car.
That and whatever pistol and knife I am carrying that day...

I don't carry a specific bag with me. I carry a handgun on my person, at this juncture it's a Ruger Blackhawk with a reload. I have a small amount of ammo in the car, currently 2 reloads.
I don't normally travel anywhere except for 20 miles to the closest town, where I don't anticipate things being such that I'll need a get home bag. When I travel out of state, which is rare, I'll take a 100-200 rounds of ammunition with me, and normally a rifle such as a Winchester 94 30-30.

a pretty detailed bag, with time & temperature stable high energy snacks, also includes a full winter survival kit, for protection, my carry 45 LC Snubbie, and an Ammo Wallet full of reloads... I also have a customized folding single shot 12 ga shotgun, with 3 belt slides of 8 shells each, one of slugs, one of buckshot, one of birdshot...

I ain't buggin' out to any place nor do I have any concerns about getting home. Whatever I'm carrying at the time will be more than adequate and probably not needed. Deer crossing the road in front of me would be my greatest threat.
