25yds,100yds,50yds. With a fixed sight Service Six, standing, offhand. Definitely not me.

I can live with that, probably won't need the 100 but 25 and 50 yes. So when you say definitely not me, what do you mean? LOL

LOL Those were shot off hand, which is how I usually do it if I am just shooting for fun. For testing accuracy, the gun goes in the Ransome rest to remove the variable of myself. If it is an accurate gun, then I will focus on my form and the fit of the gun to my hand. That particular Service Six is my daily working around the place gun. I shoot it alot. Despite the poor fixed cop sights on it, familiarity goes a long way. My FA 353 is more accurate, but hard to carry around with the 9-1/2" barrel. The Blackhawks I keep are just as accurate or are made so. As Dave says," The firing line is the final arbiter of accuracy."

Like the one flyer on this one. There was always that one flyer. It had one throat that wasn't concentric. Most people would not complain about a 5" 100yd group. But it now shoots 3"

Imitation is the sincerest form of plagiarism you know... It's a great load. I cast that bullet using the large hp pin and 40:1 alloy, powder coated. Decent expansion out to about 50yds or so on deer. I really should chrono it after as long as I have been shooting it, first as a solid from an H&G mold, but almost exclusively as an hp from the MP mold now. Haven't found a 357 that didn't like it. My k Smith 38's like it too, but I use it sparingly in them. It's a 20,000psi load.

I have a 358156hp that Buckshot did over on the "Boolits" forum long ago with a big pin, and plenty of original 358439s and 358429hps to work with. A pound of IMR4227 landed in my possession not long ago so this'll keep me occupied occupied for a little while until the weather clears up for spring. Thanks for the side trip!

People here are usually a cut above, patient and forgiving. We just need to relax, this is a joyous place to spend time with good people. Sometimes more patience is required, but that doesn't mean we should abandon anyone??? Hang in there folks, nobody gets out alive, and we all ride the same big blue orb.

I appreciate the patience and tolerance that many of you exhibited here, especially when your excellence and expertise were severely challenged. As one prior poster put it; this thread has value because it brought out the "TEACHER" in so many of you. I rarely post here because I have so little to offer and so much to gain by "lurking". I'm still at the level of severely limiting my SBH shooting to the "Bradshaw Barnyard load" and being amazed that my patterns are actually starting to look like groups. rugershooter
