Nice one! Thinking I'll be adding it to my S&W 44 "Set"

Why would they nickel a stainless gun? I'd just have polished it.

Stan.... can’t tell whether the rear sight leaf has a swell at the front or the tiny screw holding it to the topstrap is loose. If the leaf screw is loose, suggest pinching it down as you tighten it. I do not Loctite the leaf screw, just check it now & then. At some point on post 29-2 .44’s, the leaf is secured with a larger screw.
Reckon folk at S&W call the rear sight a “leaf” because it acts as a leaf spring. David Bradshaw

Looked a little proud to me too... Pressed it with my fingers and got no movement. When it lives at my house we will apply a screwdriver.

Looked a little proud to me too... Pressed it with my fingers and got no movement. When it lives at my house we will apply a screwdriver. If it doesn't settle under finger pressure I would remove it, and make sure there is no crud of any kind under the sight leaf before trying to tighten the screw.
