Although a minor distinction, that rear sight is not a Novak. Just ask Novak; it's an unlicensed copy that fits the same rear sight dovetail. Not that it matters to anyone except them. From 'Sights 101' on the Novak website: Companies that currently make unauthorized imitations or misrepresent as Novak Sights: Kensight Fusion Firearms Truglo LPA Aro-tek ltd.

I don't read the Kensight called a "Novak." They say, "Fits Novak LoMount Sight Dovetail Cut." How else would they describe what the sight fits? I think Dawson Precision makes a similar, "Fits Novak LoMount Sight Dovetail Cut," too. FWIW Kensight products don't take a back seat to anyone when it comes to iron sights. We ran them on our AFPG National Match 1911s in the 70s. The were the equal of the Bomar but did not require that the slide be drilled and tapped for the elevation screw. These Novak dovetail sights are NOT the equal of the Bomar. I'd NEVER put them on a true precision 1911. A little too crude.
