I happened upon another one myself, Boge. It's on the way.

Hey, did you ever shoot that thing? If so how did it do?

Yes, I have shot it quite a bit. I took it to the Shootist Holiday with me, where several others shot it as well. It shoots just fine.
At the Holiday, on the pistol silhouette range, it acquitted itself quite well in the hands of several experienced sixgunners. Here at Casa Boge, I haven't done any formal paper-punching with it, but it's deadly minute-of-pine-cone accurate, plus it handles and balances like a dream. Some shooters (like my brother Jeff) like the slight muzzle-heavy balance of longer barrels, but I really like the balance point more in my hand. This is why I love short-barreled handguns - plus, I just seem to identify with them for some reason.
;D
By the way - I have since sold the other Sheriff's Model to a brother Shootist who fell in love with it at the Holiday. I hated to see it go, but I had to sell off some stuff a few months back to fund that big once-in-a-lifetime TLA purchase.

You need to take a pic of it with a TLA Border Special.

There's something about those old Sheriff Sevilles. They hit well, balance perfect, and look slick. Glad to hear yours gets range time Boge. To Boge's earlier point, there were two styles of Sheriff Sevilles. One had the standard gripframe, while the other was a birdshead configuration: -Lee www.singleactions.com

Neat ! A single-action belly-gun blast off. With a not yet broken in Ruger .44spec Sheriffs here, I'll be hitting the print button on that article. steve b

Boge, that is a nice looking six-gun. I really like the way the cylinder base pin comes through the ejector head to remove it. That's classic. I probably don't speak for just myself that we'd really be interested in a report on the Shootists Holiday & the Seville. Thanks Frank

Mercy - had to be tough to get rid of that other one. However, I'd have done the same thing, given an opportunity like the one you had!

What a nice "packin" single action in a serious caliber. Be nice to see that adjustable sighted SA resurrected, say in 44 Spl and 45LC.
