You had me interested until I saw it. That's a hard pass.

Not for me either. But with a few tweaks it might be palatable. The hammer is just awful, that lever (safety?) Is pretty bad too. Fix that and a plain old recoil pad, and a good price might swing me.tj

I've always loved the Maxi as a cartridge and have shot it in competition (Silhouette) and to hunt with. However that rifle is Butt Ugly!

No one at that place ever said "Mom, do you think this is a good idea?".

For a newbie's curiosity only. Would anyone care to suggest an appropriate lever action rifle to function as a base gun for a custom .357 Max lever gun? I know the pressures on that cartridge are considerably higher than on the magnum cartridge. Thanks, rugershooter

NO! WHY would you DO that to a gun, when you have complete control at its inception to have done it RIGHT? People who want a 357 Max lever are not the same people who value ugly for ugly's sake. Where's this "classic aesthetic charm" mentioned in the article. Honestly, it's like a really bad joke to play on people. The REAL one's under the table, right? Has to be a real one under the table - its not April yet.
EDIT: I'm sorry, I had to go back and look again. WHY a grip cap on a gun with no grip?

I thought my computer screen needed adjusting when I saw that long, skinny, yougly rear thing.

LOL! I at first thought the image had been stretched without maintaining the aspect ratio.

It can't hurt the 357 Max as a cartridge. Slimmer wood would work for my hands. How many slim the forearms on their Marlins ? A slightly large lever loop. Without the huge , too big loop. Yeah, then things kinda go down hill.

I'm waiting for the bankruptcy stock clearance sale at CDNN on that one. Yeah, I'll pick up one of their huge bizarre fugly 357 revolvers then too. Maybe I can get free shipping if I buy both. Cuz why not have a set of WTF guns.

To me, the front sight looks like it's on backwards. The entire thing is fugly.
