How do they differ from regular Ruger other than steel?? Are they a bit oversize to avoid the side to side movement??

Is this a current offering? I know Reeder made sights years ago but had stopped I think. I haven’t followed the Reeder forum in a while to know what he’s saying about them.
I suspect Reeder makes the sight body then uses Ruger internals. Seems making the small parts eat up profits and slows down production.

I plan on using some $28 BFR sights on a couple of custom mid frame projects. To me, they are head and shoulders better than ruger sights and with a little “trimming” I think they could be made to look nice enough.

A Reeder blackhawk I owned had his steel body sight. Seems like it was just like a nm ruger but steel body.

My Reeder Redhawk has it. Basically a Ruger base, but all steel. I can't really feel the clicks in it and the spring is pretty stiff. It's stood up to a few thousand full throttle 500 Linebaugh so far, so it appears to be pretty tough since I have launched a few fronts but it's held zero.
