I ordered a 500 Linebaugh rifle from BHA quite a while ago and it's now going into production. 18" octagon barrel, case colored receiver and upgraded wood. I'm really looking forward to getting this one in hand.   |

I handled quite a few when I stopped by the shop a couple years ago, when they were just moving in to the in town new location in Cody. I really like the looks and feel of the octagon, but I ordered one of the limited run Black Thunders. The fit and finish is phenomenal, and from the factory with a great trigger and sights. There friggin’ expensive, but a fine firearm.

I would have ordered an octagon 475 as well, had I known how much the prices were going up.

I can't speak to what it will do length wise. I plan on 410 gr style LBTs. The picture is the load data they supply with various bullet profiles.  |

The h4227 load they mention for the 468gr. bullet is similar to what I load in my 4” 500L. As is the 410gr. load with h4227. I’ve never recovered a bullet from either at my 4” velocities.
