I bought Hornady FTX 300 grain bullets for my .50 Beowulf at a gun show and I'm nearly out and neither the last few shows or the LGS have had bullets. I can and will ultimately cast and PC / gas check my own but it won't be for a while.
What are you folks feeding your .50 calibers and where are you getting them?

Thanks for the reply, those are some good looking bullets! RU powder coating them? I am loath to try as yet PC's bullets in the Beo's gas system though I have GC molds. I've used thousands of PC bullets (thanks to a short learning curve from Castboolitsdotcom) in 1911's, and revolvers up to .480 but am hesitant to run the Beo with PC yet so for now JHP, FMJ or even TMJ I'd be comfortable with. I've used the Hornady FTX 300, and Anderson's 335's and it has no issues with either. I found some Hornady's at Bass pro and ordered a hundred but now I'd like to try some others maybe in bulk? Feeding an auto at over a dollar a pop gets expensive... faster than a revolver anyway :-)

I didn't mention it is with a gas check. The bullet is an MP 311-410 cast from Hardball/pure 70/30 mix, cast at 750° and dropped into room temp water. Smoke's gray pc, shake and bake at 400 for 30min. Gator gas check.
For subsonic, it's the 300blk mold with a 60/40 mix. Everything else the same. Very little pc residue is left in the suppressor. No more than regular cleaning regimen is required.

Gosh, I haven't shot my Beowulf in some time now. I feed mine 350 grain gas checked hollow points cast of 50/50 air cooled, regular lube. I can get the actual mold number later but it is a NOE mold. Only thing I ever shot was a jack donkey that kept jumping into the neighbors high end horse pen and making mules. They were real polite about it. Called me once to come get him, which I did. Next day pleaded with me (politely) to remove him and I took him over a half mile away. Before I could get the gates all set and check water troughs he was back in the neighbors. I had no choice. Loose a good neighbor or loose an uncontrollable jack. At the shot it looked like he had two fuel pump lines pumping blood. Stone dead in less than 10 seconds. Neighbors were sad but thankful I handled it. They agreed, I just had no choice. He did make great carne guisada.

I'm surprised the Beo is tolerant of them. Sorry about the donkey.

Gnappi, I have access to some .500" jacketed bullets. My friend had a 50AE Desert Eagle and had some components for loading. I don't remember exactly what they are. If you are interested send me a pm. I'll look to see what they are when I get home.
