I have an abundance of small pistol primers. I’m going to order small pistol primer 45acp. Will there be any problem using the same load as my large primer brass?

No issues here... A significant concern for me has always been getting a small primer pocket case mixed in with large or large in with small. Not much of an issue with single stage loaders but the more complex the progressive loader the more complex the problem. These days for my Dillon 1050 I place empty cases, primer pocket up, in a 100 round case and inspect them before they go in the brass hopper..

Thanks axe. Going to change out the large to small on the sqd. I’m using them in moon clips so never the two shall meet! Is there a source for new brass? All I see is once fired

I use the same loads in both.

No difference that I can tell shooting at paper and steel targets. Maybe I’ll bench test this spring and compare with my new Xero too…

I did the same thing a few months back, and ordered a bunch of SPP .45 ACP brass. As difficult to find and as expensive as LPPs currently are, I'd rather shoot up my SPPs because at least I can find those locally.

I switched a couple of years ago to the SPP cases and saw NO difference in performance or accuracy.

When small primer 45s started showing up gun writer Charlie Petty did some pretty exhaustive comparisons and found little to no difference in performance.
