Starting to regain traction at the loading bench lately. Some 38spec for the LCR. Some 32's qued up for next. Next after that, more play time with the 430JDJ. Information was politely offered by JDJ and JT, and I am so grateful for. Their focus and plan for heavy bullets, heavy for 44's, bullets. I went with the Missouri 300gr SWC to follow in this vein and it can be pushed easily 200fps faster than belt packable revolvers. So the wide meplat can stay stable further than from revolvers. The 265gr Hornady flat point that came out for the 444Marln and wrasseled into 44mag hulls is really a bare minimum weight for the 430JDJ or the 444 Marlin. But now...a 265 double cannelured(one an "interlock") FTX available. Am thinking ...it only hurts a little... Yeah I know there can't be more than 3 of you sitting on a 430JDJ barrelled Contender ! LOL. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Oh, and the 225gr FTX, gotts be a ooyote whacking thang ! A short batch run n wow ! As to starting velo. Re-inventing the wheel, better options ? No doubt, but it is what I have, was gifted.
