You don't want to see my bench, I'm about 6 projects deep in stuff on it. About to start project 7. The wife says I need to be more organized.

I'll play along. We bought our house from a younger couple, the husband had grown up in the house and at some point his mother, who was an artist had a room built on top of the house. They didn't build a second story, they just had a 16' X 14' room with 5 windows and a walk-in closet built on top of the house. The windows face East, South and West so she had lots of brilliant New Mexico sunlight to paint by. We jokingly call the room the Eagle's Nest. During our initial walk thru of the house I immediately claimed the room as my reloading room, though there was some silly talk of Yoga...right, like that was gonna happen! The room does get a tad warm in the summer even with the AC vent, but I have gotten used to it, though I store most of my powder downstairs.

gnappi - What on earth is all that new-fangled blue stuff? Over the years, it has grown due to my extreme unwillingness to convert the many calibers I load for, that and finding insanely good deals on stuff locally. :-) I figure that if my time is worth what I think it is, it didn't take long to realize the benefit of having them all instead of wasting 1/2 hour in a hot Florida garage every time I changed calibers.

That's some ingenious use of shelving!

That's some ingenious use of shelving! LOL! I wouldn't quite say "genius." Once a fella's lived past a certain point, he damned well ought to be able to figure something out for himself - or at least have the good sense to copy a good idea. I can't say for sure which happened there, but it worked out well.

I use a Redding Turret for my loading and I have Real Avid Master Gun Vise on the opposite end. I built this small stand a few years ago that sits in the middle of my reloading room. I have a Redding Big Boss II for sizing cases and cast bullets. A LEE Classic for depriming. A LEE Loadmaster for bulk 9mm and 223 and a LEE APP for various tasks. There is a shelf on the bottom where I store my lead ingots that helps secure the stand in place.

Organized chaos is not how our better half describes our gun/loading room. We are fortunate to have ALL of our gun stuff in one pretty big room in a building adjacent to the house; actually about 8 steps across the deck. Been in this, our final house, for about 30 years and, although it looks chaotic, we can lay our hands on almost anything we are looking for without too much trouble. Being an old-time practical pistol shooter (we started in 1977) my 3 Dillons(2 550s and a 650) have produced a lot of ammo over the years. As to the big snake, we have timber rattle Snakes here in the Alleghenies and have capped quite a few over the 50+ years we've resided here.
Best to you all. Gotta' load some .32 H&R now.
