Brought home my "new" 30 Carbine. The front sight is an interesting modification. With a new set of grips, it'll look pretty nice. As with most of this gent's revolvers, it was shot very little. It was nice of him to replace the hammer with a SBH hammer.

New grips will be nice, but it ain’t ugly as it is. Good, score!

Thanks, the fit of those grips is actually better than many I've seen. It looked so much uglier in the store, I was surprised to see how little use it actually has. I kinda wonder if that "hole" at the rear of the sight is/was for a mirror?
It'll make a fine shooter to be sure. I'll measure the throats tomorrow but I suspect they'll need fixin! :-)

..have one just like it..the front sight was too short as were it seems all the BHs of that era.
Had the blade milled off and a Patridge pinned in...
