I have a Ruger Redhawk that JRH did an action job on and a frame modification. I have about 150 rounds through it without any problems. However, tonight I popped in a new front sight in it. I went to dry fire the gun in single action and all of a sudden the trigger kicks forward and never releases the hammer. This is happening with very minimal pressure on the trigger. I did notice that if I pull the single action trigger very quickly and hard the trigger works as expected. Once I slow it down to a normal single action trigger pull the the trigger kick happens.
I will send a note to Jack on Monday but wanted to know if anyone knows a fix for this condition to avoid the hassle of sending it back to JRH to diagnose the issue.
Thanks, James
P.S. - there is no issue with the double action it seems to be working as it always has.

At less than 3-1/4 lbs, the trigger kicks forward at hammer fall, causing the trigger tip (sear) to catch the double action fly (DA sear) on the falling hammer. The remedy is to retune or replace hammer and/or trigger. By all means, give Jack a call. You may be able to send Jack just the hammer & trigger. David Bradshaw
