I say that I intended to bring it up to at least 1K if necessary. But, with an hour and 15 minutes left in the auction, I went to the garage to turn a few wrenches on my '73 CZ 380 motocross racer.
An hour and 20 minutes later is when I remembered that I had something else that I wanted to do.
Dang it.

I saw that gun too - have no Sevilles yet and that as a first would be a dandy. Didn't bite as I was not sure what I was looking at: didn't understand the extra barrel and what would be "quick" about it unless it had a nut like a DW - does it?

I would have happily gone a grand on it, but I was laying-off for Bloodhound.

I WAS QUICKLY OUT BID EARLY ON....I DID CALL RED'S AND ASKED ABOUT THE RED OXIDATION AREAS.....HE STATED THAT THERE WERE QUITE A FEW AREAS THAT WERE RUSTED....AS HE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS STORED FOR A LONG TIME IN THE FACTORY CASE AND NEVER OILED UP.....NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR.....I WOULD HAVE WENT HIGHER IF IT WAS IN BETTER CONDITION......ONLY THE SECOND ONE I HAVE SEEN FOR SALE SO FAR.....AND BOTH SLIGHTLY RUSTED....THE FIRST ONE I PAID AROUND A GRAND FOR AND RETURNED IT DUE TO A BADLY PITTED BARREL......

Wise move calling about that oxidation. Too bad someone let that happen to such a rare gun.

YEAH....I REALLY AM CRITICAL ON A GUNS CONDITION WHEN BUYING.....I FEEL IT IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT....TO ME AT LEAST......I AGREE...TOO BAD SOMEONE LET IT RUST UP A LITTLE.....I KNOW THEY ARE RARE....HAVE TO CONTINUE TO LOOK AND WAIT FOR ANOTHER SET TO SHOW UP....I'M PATIENT....AND ALWAYS SEARCHING......

$735 was still a good price.....but I agree, I like my Sevilles a little closer to NM. -Lee www.singleactions.com
