I got a notification a day or two ago for Montado hammers, but they were sold out in two shakes of a lambs tail.

I ordered a Bisley hammer and trigger from Ruger a week ago. They are in TX at RW GFs now with our little single six.

Has anyone gotten the Midway Montado hammers? The photo looked like a standard Blackhawk hammer, so I went with the SBH instead.

I got two Midway Montado hammers in; they're identical to the SBH hammer, except as noted above. The SBH hammer spur has cast serrations; the Montado hammer spur has cast checkering.

One of the two Carbon steel Bisley grip frames I received from midway a month or two ago was covered with a thin layer of rust. I don’t know how big of deal that is to everyone, as they start out in the rough anyway, but I was not pleased. Two steel XR3 frames recently came with huge voids in the sides of the ears that need welded up. Buyer beware.

I was not going to get a spare hammer set "just because" but since they still had all of the needed pieces I got them all.
Thanks for the heads up.

I just bought a Bisley hammer and trigger. I don’t even have another Ruger to put them in at the moment. Is this a bad sign?
