I saw one at Bi-Mart in .308. Made in Turkey. I could not try the trigger because they won't take the lock off. Very nice chunk of wood on a 400.00 rifle. Very Tempted. My experience with Turk stuff is limited to a Hi Power type 9mm. And it is good. Would be almost great if they did not put extremely heavy springs in on it. ...tj

The wood/checkering has an early 70's SEARS vibe going on.

Stock is Turkish walnut, has kind of a CZ/Sako/Euro style to it, which I'm not really crazy about, but this one is done nicely and fits. Good ergonomics and a nice feel for offhand shooting. The safe is 3 position, located on the side of the receiver, right side. About where a sliding side safe would be on a Sako. Trigger is adjustable as witnessed with the adjustment screw hole in the trigger guard. Trigger pull on the one I've had a chance to use was 4 3/4 lb. or so not a bad feel. Shot well too, like the 150 gr. Winchester power point stuff. Usual plastic detachable magazine, but for $100 less than a Ruger American plastic-fantastic rifle, it is a refreshing change. Now if they'd make a long action version and chamber it 9.3x62!! But I'd probably settle for a .270, cuz I'm a .270 guy as well.

This is the ATA Turqua with Stevens name on it. I bought the Turqua 18" threaded barrel, synthetic stocked model in .308. Trigger is adjustable and has an adjustable comb as well. The Stevens version is a bit less expensive. Either version is a good sound rifle. To get my scope close to zero, I shot the Turqua at 25 yards and both factory Hornady and Winchester Power Point 150 grain ammo shot one-hole group of less than .4". Have not had the chance to try at 100 yards yet.

I'm tempted to get one on 6.5CM vs rebarreling my Axis.
