Heard from Lipsey's yesterday that a short-barreled .44 Special Vaquero was headed my way. I'm on the road a lot, but I'll fill you in when I get it...

A 44 Special Vaquero makes perfect sense. Stainless steel makes it even better

Picked mine up Sunday; will shoot it when I get home Saturday. Nice trigger pull out-of-the-box. Like the Montado hammer....

That gun with one of David Clement's rear sights and a little machine work might fit nicely into my "set." I'll have to keep an eye out for one or two...

So it has the Montado hammer? As for the barrel length, is it the standard 4 5/8" or shorter? -Lee www.singleactions.com

There is a picture of one on the Ruger Forum. It is basically a Montado in 44 spl.
