Came home this evening with a box of Starline 38-40 Brass waiting on my front porch.
Had a good stock, but Graf's had it listed cheaper than Starline and I had free shipping.
Point is, these more obscure calibers will become available from time to time. Best to stock up when it does.

I've been after 38-40 brass for a while for a Blackhawk project. I was able to snag one bag from Midway before they went out of stock again. Starline says backorder but limit 2 per household. Considering placing a backorder...my backorder pile is getting quite pricey with one thousand 500 Linebaugh on the pile!

My only backorder is for 360 Dan Wesson Brass.
But, your point is well taken. Have to say 1000 count of 500 Linebaugh is a lot.

I also am on the 500 Linebaugh waiting list for brass. Yeah, if all my backorders come through at the same time, the wife will be sleeping on the couch till she isn't mad anymore.

Received my box of 38-40 backorder brass from Starline 3 weeks ago, and the 32-20 brass I ordered in January 2021 showed up last week.

In nearly 30years with the 500L, shooting 50 a week at least of full throttle loads, I still have not thrown out more than a hundred brass. You have a few lifetimes supply!

Picked up 179 pieces of new Starline .454 brass for $15 last Friday. Now I just need a FA .454

I have the 200 gr hollow point. I have not tried it in a rifle. It works well in .38-40 and 10mm
