7:02 Saturday morning, opening day in Wisconsin. I bagged this scrapper at about 50 yards when he was sneaking onto the field from my left. After the first shot landed he flipped around and started running across the field. I managed to land a second shot 4 inches from the first, both through the lungs. I was tossing 44 mag 240 grain XTP's. He was a 9 pointer, with some big pieces broken on both sides. I was joking that I half expected to find a cigar stub in his mouth and some tattoos when I rolled him over. I took a big doe at 190 yards that afternoon with the rifle, so not a bad season all in all    |

My first bull was missing pieces of his rack, and my last bow kill had a snapped off side. Lots of strength to snap an antler, of any size. Well done, my fall hunting will start first of Dec, once if cools off.
