Received a call from Starline to update my card number for some 32-20 brass I ordered back in January 2021. Should have a lifetime supply now!

Starline is giving out some mixed signals on 32-20 right now.
Like you I got a notice on my backorder from long ago needed cc info, and now shows shipped. Yea !
Some folks appear to be able to get a backorder accepted and other folks get an out of stock message and no backorder.
Starline says they can't hold a cc number more than 30 days. Which means they have to take your cc info over the phone when they fill backorders, which is slow and expensive for them. That's why they don't like taking backorders and creating that situation.
It also means some folks will say, No Thanks, I've already filled it elsewhere. Then they have trouble guessing the quantity they need to fill backorders. I'm wild-azz guessing once they fill backorders, they will accept some new orders again.
I think they are making 32-20 brass, but are trying to limit the orders to match the supply.
It's been 2 years waiting and if you need it, get your name in. The price is $.27 each which is way better than Gunbroker at $2.25 each.

It has been a good couple of weeks. I had reached out to Starline about 38-40 brass on Fakebook, and they were kind enough to let me know I could "backorder", received it 2 weeks later.

I know, they emailed me for CC info on my 38-40 backorder 6 weeks ago. I had ordered it along with some other brass and they ran out of the 38-40 and left it as a BO for 1.5-2 years. Figured they be shipping now but still listed as no BO.

Figured they be shipping now but still listed as no BO. It is now open to backorder, or was this morning. I noticed Grafs had some in stock this morning. Not a lot, but 100 was only $40.99. That's cheaper than Starline. I ordered ones they had left. I started to post it here, but was afraid they'd sell out before it was ordered by a forum member... |
