Andy Horvath built this one. 1955 Target model barrel. Started out 6" ended up 4". I have another of the same 6" barrel. Maybe i will have another short barrel built. I bought this 8 3/8" model 25 barrel. Sent it with the new model flattop to Andy a few months ago. Im not sure what the future of single action gunsmiths looks like, but having extra parts is good. This is also the time to get guns built before the big timers are finished with their careers. Hope new guys start showing up. But unfortunately there doesnt seem to be growing interest.

Many of the larger shops have younger apprentice smiths learning from them. It's just a matter of finding the quality ones once they hang their own shingles out.
I have an advantage of many years machinist experience, but it's still a big learning curve taking what I know and trying to apply it to my own guns.

It’s always good when an Ol Phart will work with someone for multiple years
It takes a long time for the subtle points…….
You know you are a gunsmith when you know 10% of what you THOUGHT you knew ten years ago

I like this thread. Maybe we can keep it going. Has anyone seen an Anaconda barrel on a 624?
