The next HHC will be May 2-5 at Wilderness Hunting Lodge in Montery TN. Are the prices as listed on the website or is there different pricing for this get together? |

dunno, BUT THE DEPOSIT WAS $350 AND IT COVERS ROOM & BOARD AND IS A CREDIT ON YOUR TROPHY FEES IF YOU SHOOT ANYTHING.

They do have a range. I was there half a dozen years ago. You can bring and use during your hunt your atvs. Hunt with a guide or just roam by yourself. Give the lodge a call and they will come out to help with your game. Pretty much treat the hunters as responsible adults , no hand holding! 15 hour drive is the only thing that me from going back!

Allen has four different areas available to hunt with total acreage probably around 4000 acres. Let Lynn or Bruce know what you are hunting and they will direct you to the best area. The main area is directly behind the lodge and one is about 1/2 mile down the road. The other two require driving with the largest about 8 miles from the main lodge. I have been hunting there every year since 2007. Accommodations are outstanding and the food is second to none.   They have a range built to check sights and to bang some steel if you want. You are shooting across a small ravine and setting targets can get interesting.  |

Very nice! With so many people hunting the same relatively small areas, do the owners not fear the "if it moves SHOOT IT" types?

We've had 50 people in the main area behind the lodge and because of the terrain, may only see one or two others in 4-5 hours of hunting. |

Make sure you get a specific price on the animal(s) you are hunting. Many species have the price listed as "and up". You don't want to get hit with a charge that is a lot more than you were expecting. |

THE MAY 2024 HHC HUNT IS NEXT WEEK! LEAVING HOME TUESDAY MORNING APRIL 30, 2024, ARRIVING AT THE LODGE SOMETIME ON THE 1st. GOING TO MY RANGE ON THE RIO GRANDE IN A BIT FOR FINAL SIGHT TWEAKINGS.
