I have been meaning to post this. I got a chest rig from Back Country Leather goods( Big Bore on here) recently. I looked at one of these when we went hog hunting in Texas back in April and really liked it. This thing is a work of art. Very comfortable and very well thought out. It has a ton of adjustment built in so no problem even with a coat on. I can raise it as high as chest level or down to my tummy. I had him make one holster for my 4" Redhawk and one for a long slide Glocks. This is intended for my bear protection rig. I will try to take a pic of me wearing it in a few days. I like quality and this is quality that is right there with my leather from Doc Barranti and Rob Leahy. I am going to use it tree stand hunting in a few weeks. Needless to say I am very happy with it.

I've worn mine with and without a jacket so far carrying a 6-1/2" Blackhawk. Works great both ways. Easy on. Easy off. Very secure and comfortable. Really out of the way, yet quickly drawn from. Love it.
The only thing I would maybe change is making the length off the over-the-shoulder strap adjustable. But it's darn good how it is too.
I have El Paso, Barranti,Simply Rugged, Galco, and even Lawrence. It's as well built as any of these.
He's working out a design for a new holster for me now. I highly recommend this holster rig and his company.

I stole this pic from Randy's posts but I don't think he will mind. This is Randy wearing one of these. IN the pic he has it pulled up high. I set mine a bit lower.

AND, AS THEY SAY DOWN SOUTH TEXAS WAY, RANDY es buena gente (A GOOD GUY). Yes he is. It was fun watching him hit steel at 100 yards with Skeeter's 41 Redhawk.

I was having terrible trouble with my new glasses. With open sights I couldn't see the sights and targets together past 25 yards. Progressive trifocals with near sighted right eye and far sighted left eye and astigmatism in both eyes. It aint for shooting. I did OK with the scopes since I could make my opticle correction with the scopes.

Randy is there a website? Back Country leather goods brings up a lot of purses. I don’t have a formal website. Started with one and wasn’t getting a return on it. I now use Facebook, Instagram, and word of mouth. Thanks for asking!

It's coming. As more people find out you are making good leathers, more people will order.
For example, I could have picked a number of established holster makers for the pancake you're making for the Blackhawk. I chose you for a reason.

It's got ME thinking....
When I saw that original picture (Bigbore's) some time back, it seemed perfect for what I want/need.
I tried one made of synthetics and was not happy with the fit/feel of the thing, though it was very nicely made. Since it was not a custom item, I opted to return it and the folks were very good to deal with. Just didn't "ride" well for me.
I especially like the conservative aesthetic, where the only "decoration" is the quality of material and workmanship. Very tough to hide flaws on a piece of work which has no ornamentation to distract the eye. My preference anyway. I think a fella who can make something that plain look that good is pretty much on the top of the heap in his field.
