Hi everybody, I picked up an Octagon 45 Colt barrel for my Contender off of Ebay. It arrived in great shape and was actually only 45 Colt. I already have one marked 45 Colt, but someone had it reamed to accept 410s also and the accuracy kinda sucks... The new barrel has a one piece locking bolt. Where can I find a two piece bolt? I didn't see them on Haus of Arms. TIA

I got them once from a barrel maker, but it was many many years ago and I don't remember which. You'd probably need to ask and wont see them listed on their site.

Off the top of my head, Haus of Arms sells parts for the SSK-50, which includes the bolts. SSK sells them on their site too. I'm thinking it ends up being something like $32/pair, but at least we can get them. These are new-made parts, not old stock or used. I"ve dealt with Haus of Arms on several occasions and have always been treated well.
EABCO also sells them, I believe. I've never dealt with them, but never really heard anything bad about them either.

I have bought numerous barrels and parts and one of the BF pistols and have always had excellent customer service from EABCO

I gave a few to Tyrone several years ago, along with a bunch of other parts in trade for a beat up 45 Vaquero with a bent barrel but I never got the gun Dick

Looks like SSK has them, have to buy a right and a left side. Does only one side ever go bad?

They will usually only break one side but you should replace them as a pair. If you replace only one, old worn or broken one with a new, they can be different sizes . This can cause uneven locking pressure and put unwanted strain on the longer lug. I have only broken one lug, and one hammer spring in nearly 50 years of T.C."S but replaced both lugs.
