Thank you all. Only problem I have so far is POA/POI. I discovered that lighter bullets, such as the 125gr XTPs I had loaded for my Smith 64-3, kept better POA/POI than the heavier slugs. A buddy of mine recently suggested that a longer bearing surface might work better and suggested that the Uberti's were built to use a round nose lead profile bullet, like the originals. I don't have any LRN bullets to try right now, nor a mold, (been a caster and a member of castboolits for several years), but I DO have a small supply of 148gr full wadcutters. Anyone here had good luck with those in this style/brand revolver? Testers loaded for later this week. Again, thank you for the welcome...and why should I get a Ronnie Wells base pin?

I was just pointing out the craftsman and real artists on this site. You will see their excellent work and begin to want something for yours. Then you'll see or hear about something else.....
It's happened to us all. Several times over. It's to the point now that I have my own lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder to do my own work. I also bought a black iron tank and the stainless steel to make my own bluing tanks.

Sounds great, but the wife MIGHT throw in an objection. However, did I mention my Mother In law is a saint? She built s storeroom at her place, (100 yards from ours), and equipped one corner with lights, A/C and power so I could have a comfortable reloading nook? Casting stuff is set up right outside the door in the old carport, just got done casting up a bunch of .356 and .358 sized slugs, all powder coated and sized, waiting to be loaded.

The wind took out the target stand before I could get more than one group fired, but I got this one; Juist a question of finding the right balance to get right in the bull. I did shoot more at that steel you see in the upper right corner at 80 yards and i could reliably hit 2 out of 5, but with the 125gr Remington Golden Saber 357 Magnums it was 3 out of 5, 3/4 scale IDPA AR500. I guess she'll do.

What is a Ronnie Wells base pin? I'm sorry Kelye, I meant to say grip frame for Ronnie, and Belt Mountain (you) for base pin. I shouldn't type on the phone and talk to the Missus at the same time!
