Not a giant but it's meat in the freezer! Thanks for looking and any comments. Boats

The first with a bow is a giant memory, no matter the physical size. Congratulations

Awesome congrats!! I doubt a doe is any slower on the twitch than a buck, nice job! That’s a road I may try myself this winter, I’ve been putting it off, I admire archery just a whole Hell of a lot.

I’m convinced learning to kill deer with a bow made me a better hunter with a handgun. So much in the techniques of bow hunting also apply to handgun hunting like stand selection, close range shot preparation and shot placement. Congratulations on your deer and may it be the first of many more.

Congrats! My first deer kill was with an old Hoyt Easton Ram Hunter II bow in 1985. The shot was near point blank but the doe turned on my release leaving me with a liver hit deer. I had little experience and ended up recovering her about 5 hours later. She wasn't fit to eat due to the stress of being wounded and 80+ degree South Carolina September heat.
I'm glad yours was a better hunt.

Congrats on your first bow kill. Mine wasn’t a giant either but I sure remember it vividly. I’ll say that with regard to deer hunting, until I took up bow hunting, I had no idea how incredibly little I actually understood about deer. Happy hunting!

Congrats on a FINE hunt.
NEVER,, EVER,, apologize for any legally taken game. I consider it an honor to harvest my own meat, and does feed us every year.

Nice job! One of my most memorable deer harvests was a doe with a bow. The challenges posed by a bow add adventure to the hunt.

Well done!!! Simple reliable setup. Glad to see the Thunderhead get some love. As was said above NEVER APOLIGISE for the deer you have taken. They are all trophies, and should be treated as such. Again WELL DONE!!!!!

Congratulations! I remember my first bow kill, a little deer with a spike on one side and a split on the other. My heart was pumping so hard the bow was jumping! I bet yours was a spectacular hunt and great shot placement. Thanks for sharing!
Ted Nugent was asked what he considered a trophy whitetail. He said "The one standing broadside at 20 yards.". Yours is a trophy.
