I recently added a RW 2Dogs rear sight to my .357 Maximum. The blade is 0.340" tall with a 0.090" notch (plain black, serrated edge). It mates beautifully with the 10.5" barrel and 0.100" wide front blade: I have a lot of trigger time on this gun. Over 2,000 rounds to be exact. I can positively say the RW 2Dogs rear greatly improves the sight visual. Here are a few of my better groups @ 100 yards. The load is my standard 18.5 of IMR 4227 with the 194 gr Bradshaw-Martin SWC. This was an interesting pattern. Two almost touching and three in a perfect diagonal: If you own a Ruger Maximum, or any Blackhawk for that matter, I highly recommend the upgrade. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Forgot to mention. Those groups were fired from a bench over wind flags. I don't want anyone thinking I could do that offhand. -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I wouldn't doubt on a good day you could do it off hand. Nice groups. I've seen some paper plates offhand that Ross Seyfried shot, 5X5, really tight, I'm guessing you could do it too.

Y'all are just making me salivate with this. I ordered my g/f & a pair of the new rear sights in August,, and as I keep telling Miss Penny; "It's a good thing I'm a hunter,, with lots of patience!" I was hoping to have them before the Gathering at my place for others to see & try,, but I'm still patiently waiting. My luck,, they will arrive right in the middle of my deer hunting season. I have some Dall sheep & Bighorn sheep material that is for grips. Zane has already cut the blanks & stabilized it for me. Just have to decide which pieces I want to make into the grips for it. My Maxi is whimpering in the corner awaiting it's facelift!

Lee.... beautiful patterns, them steel targets of yours @ 100 yards. Reckon the signature of your revolver shot placement reflects rhythm developed over thousands of rounds in Bench Rest competition. Competition hones rhythm. Competiton doesn’t build rhythm, INTENT builds rhythm. Competition heightens FOCUS. Two buddies throwing lead dead serious builds the kind of skill that leads to SHARPSHOOTING. However skill sharpens, it is not arrived at lightly. The .357 Maximum is a long distance drill, a long distance to RIDE FOLLOW THROUGH.
Sharp revolver + sharp sighting + sharp ammo + squeeze = Sharpshooting. David Bradshaw

"Sharp revolver + sharp sighting + sharp ammo + squeeze = Sharpshooting". My kind of math David....I couldn't agree more. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I have made a couple of improvements to the Bradshaw grip frame and wanted you to have the latest greatest. Sorry about the delay Tyrone but theyve been in route for a couple of days now. R

Ronnie,, yes,, I'm patient, AND I didn't mean to imply you were dragging your feet or anything. I was just acting like a kid before Christmas,, who knows beforehand what to expect! Anticipation of something special makes waiting harder. I'd wait a LOT longer if necessary,, for you to do the wonderful stuff you do! Besides,, the sights would have been nice,, but I'd rather get things all at one time anyway. I did see where they were shipped,, and I'll be trying to squeeze in the time to work on the gun when they arrive. Going to the PO over the next few days will be like waking up on Christmas morning. Maybe 2-3 days before the present is there,, but hey,, I'm SURE it'll be worth it!

I had to jerk your chain a little Ronnie. Gotta give you a little "different" stuff to think about instead of the crazy stuff we discussed. BTW; I checked on my buddy's pacemaker,, not the one you fixed. Dern it. He would have been proud! My mailbox only held some other stuff today,, but I'll be going again tomorrow,, just to act like a kid at Christmas!

The mail up this way is not reliable.
Had a package a couple of weeks ago leave the Charlotte distribution center and return to it 5 times the other week, before it made it to Stanley (literally a 16 minute drive from the center to the post office).
Mailed out some envelopes to three members on here at the same time. The one to Alaska arrived in less than a week. The one to West Virginia took almost two. I still have no idea where the one to Washington is after over three weeks!
Informed Delivery showed I had a package coming on Thursday. It didn't show up and is now listed as in transit with no projected delivery date!
And which barrel length Maxi are you putting the rear sight on Tyrone? And which style?

Since I was thinking about it, I just checked the tracking on the package that was supposed to be delivered.
Not only is it listed as delayed with no estimated delivery date, the website says it was last updated at 8:43pm October 28th. Today's date is the 27th. Not very reassuring.
