I am shooting a 250 gr bullet at 20:1 in my Clements .50 ROA and was wondering if it would be OK to powder coat the bullets? Would it be OK or a waste of time?

I'm new to the cap n ball game of things; but I was always told you want to shave a little lead when seating your bullets into the cylinder, so at that point if you power coat them, you're just shaving it off anyways and just wasting time?

Also, are you putting lube into that lube groove, or just over the end of the cylinder? Lube in blackpowder arms also keeps the fouling soft. No lube =?? But, thats just me thinking out loud, to powder coat a few bullets to try wouldnt be a bad thing or a waste of time. Then you/we would know first hand.
