Anyone have a suggestion on j-frame grips that cover the backstrap, but fit flush with the gripframe? Thanks for any help.

Anyone have a suggestion on j-frame grips that cover the backstrap, but fit flush with the gripframe? Hey Tim, Welcome! Not sure I understand the question. Many grips cover the back strap but what do you mean "flush with the gripframe"? Also depends on round butt/square butt and what you need it to do best. Comfortable to shoot or concealed carry.

Are you looking for a boot grip?

Round butt, much like a boot grip, bottom of the grip exposed where the serial number is visible. Like the crimson trace laser grips for j-frame, like wood more than rubber. Tim

I'm a fan of the old Herrett Shooting Ace grips. They cover the back strap but extend below the grip frame a little bit. I modified a set to fit my Taurus 856, and I have a set on my wife's 3" S&W 31-1. I ran a set on an old Bulldog .44spl a couple of years ago. I don't know how to post pictures but here are my guns on another site: www.taurusarmed.net/threads/herrett-shooting-ace-grips-on-an-856.445699/

I have some J frame grips at home somewhere. I will look when I get home and if I have anything that meets your needs you can have them.

It's been so long since I had a J frame I had to dig out what I have and get an eyeball on what I have and they fully cover the frame.
