Congrats . How long is the barrel and is that blasted stainless or mat chrome?

7 1/2" barrel and the gun is hard chromed.

Looks good. Now that we both have hard chromed .500 maximums, we can start a club!
S&W DX-style front sight attachment?
38 grains AA1680 runs a mt baldy 515 out of mine at 1388 fps.

Correct on the front sight. I loaded 38.0 AA1680 before I read the post. Starting out a little wimpy as it is under a 460 Keith Gas Check.

That's a fabulous looking revolver. Just beautiful. I'd probably have to add a Bowen Target rear sight, but that's just me, and not a criticism. Now, I'm no stranger to big bores nor to recoil, but a 515 @ 1388 has got to be...exhilarating. Much more exhilaration than I believe I can stand any more. But what the heck: Now you're ready for anything!

The only flaw I can find in that revolver is that it isn't mine. Who did the hard chrome?

Not sure who Jack uses for the hardchrome maybe Aggie knows. Shot 10 rounds through it today with 460gr SWC. 5th bullet in the cylinder jumped crimp on me..guess I am going to have to crimp a bit more. Recoil was impressive. The picture I posted with the 2 cases the small one is a 454 casull for comparison.
