Gregs,
Have you shot it without the glove?
I'm not by any stretch recoil sensitive and I've shot DA .44's (my 629's and Redhawk) as well as several super blackhawks all day long without a glove. So naturally I shot a couple of boxes during my first outing with the Colt and not only did the base of my thumb bone get bruised but a tendon got inflamed so I have to get an xray and cortisone shot.
Lesson learned, next time I'll wear a glove... oh I got some very ugly Pachmayr presentation grips for it. Damn, it seems like a shame to put such a plain grip on a purty gun but it's better than the cortisone shots.
