Which progressive press do you....

Prefer for handgun cartridges and why.
I am using two LEE Loadmasters and am considering an upgrade even though I like the Loadmasters when they are working correctly. I am leaning towards the RCBS 2000.

I really like my RCBS Pro 2000. I have had it since 2001 or '02 and have loaded 10's of thousands of rounds through it with no problems. I compared it to the Dillon 550 and Hornady Lock and Load when I was shopping and for the price I think it is the best in its catagory.

I would suggest the Dillon 550, I will not say it is the best out there but I have never known anyone who didn't like theirs and their customer service is second to none! I have the Dillon Square Deal B and it is alright but I have set up and used 3 friends 550s and they are far nicer than mine is!

i have hated the Loadmasters since day one, had an early one that made the factory retrofit on the ram and two trips back on the primer feed. gave it to a friend in case he needed spare parts. guess they can work okay since my shooting buddy of 20+years bought one at same time i did and has had zero troubles. we both also have the pro1000 series and it works well enough. i do have a dillon also and have owned and/or operated all the dillon presses. cant complain.

If my Dillon 550 could cook, I'd marry it!

Seriously, I've had it for many years, have broken stuff or wore it out, and had it replaced without hassle. It's pretty much idiot-proof (and soldier-proof) and I've loaded enough .45 ACP to wear out a Kimber Classic, and it's still doing it's Timex imitation!

Dillon 550. The only press I've ever owned that I liked better was the Dillon 450. Oh....I still have both.

Dillon 550, just keep in mind those heads can get pricey if you shoot a lot of different rounds.

I can't compare to other progressives but my Dillon 550 has been working great since 1985. Nuff said!

Dillon 650. Also Square Deal B just for .44 Special. I used my original Square Deal .45 ACP so much that I cracked the frame. Dillon totally rebuilt it for FREE! When I got my 650 I sold my Square Deal for more than I paid for it. You can't beat Dillon's service.

I'm still crankin away on my old Dillon 450 from the early 80's. I did upgrade to the automatic powder measure, shell ejector and catch bin though a wile back. When I ever replace it, it will be a Dillon for sure. Dillon is always a pleasure to deal with also.
My old Rockchucker still gets used quite a bit too, for rifle cartridges and calibers I don't have conversion kits for the Dillon yet.

Dillon 550.... Easiest for me to set up and use and great customer support... FWIW I have a Dillon 1050 and 650 also.. 550 is my all round favorite progressive..

I got mine within a week of mobing to Phoenix, conveniently enough Axe, Dillon's factory showroom is in Phoenix, more rerason to thin kabout coming out this way.

I use an older Hornady Projector, I don't know how many rounds of ammo it has kicked out but it's a bunch. I can't say about their customer service, nothing on it has ever broke.
