One of my grail guns arrived today. Loaded up a few rounds after work and the rain started so no test firing. Will probally add some x frame grips and a allchin mimi mount with a burris ff3.

Congratulations!!! My -3 has the Alchin mount with a Leupold DP Pro. It took it’s first deer last fall. One of 3 657’s. Gotta love the 41’s.

Well got to shoot it today. Decent group at 25 yards with some 200 grain bullets and h110. Gonna be a hard choice on what to carry to the blind the Freedom arms or the smith. Got to learn how to post pictures on here at some point.

RJM its a 657-5 7 1/2 barrel with the unfluted cylinder.

..thanks...I have the same gun but a 6.5" first edition HUNTER... It was originally shipped to distributor Lew Horton, but was not one of their exclusives. They returned it to the factory to have a fluted cylinder installed. I was later able to find an original unfluted cylinder and have it fitted to the gun. I believe that target was a custom Lee 165 grain Keith style SWC at 25 yards sitting.. Excellent shooters...Bob

My red dot mount should be in Monday and will try to get a load worked up next week. Our deer season starts the in October so i got a couple weeks to play with it. My stealth hunter is good to go if not.

Smith .41 mag N frames (actually ALL N frames) are special. I have a 5-7/8" Nickle 57 no dash, and a 6" SS unfluted 657-3 made before they went to SS innards.
