The SP101 I use for daily carry is 6 shot. I wonder why this one is a 5?

All the 38 Special and 357 Mags I've seen were 5-Shot. Maybe yours is an early gun?
The 327 Fed is 6-Shot and the 22 LR is 8-Shot.
My 327 Fed 4.2" is an average shooter at about 1.75-2" at 25 Yards. The 357 Mag 4.2" shoots well under 1.5" all day long. I've learned to like it a lot...

Never seen one in real life. Is that a factory recessed crown? At first, I thought it was a two-piece barrel. I agree with you AxeHandle - those need to be available in a .32 option. |

One piece barrel, available in 327 Federal. They have been made in 32 Magnum in the past.

I have 2 very early .38 versions that I really like, but someone could gift me that one if they like. Do your 38s shoot low? I have first year production 38 as well that shoots every thing but heavy bullet , high pressure loads pretty low. |

But according to the sight calculator I would be left with only a 0.063 front sight. At least it would be impossible to snag on anything though. |

The 359-640 makes a great hp anyway. I usually do the heavy bullets myself, but they are lively in my M36. They really buck in the Missus' 642 Ladysmith.
