Does anyone here have one? If so how does it shoot and generally can you tell me about it because i somehow lucked into a 16-4 with the 8in barrel at an auction. The only thing i knew were they were fairly rare and when i just looked it up it said only 8800 were made in all barrel lengths. Id appreciate hearing about anyone elses and how they shoot and your thoughts on them. Thanks

AFTER YEARS OF LUSTING FOR A 16-4 32 MAG I FINALLY SCRATCHED THE ITCH AND ACQUIRED A 6" MODEL. AWESOME GUN, VERY ACCURATE AND PLEASANT TO SHOOT. NOT MUCH FIELD USE FOR ONE DOWN HERE IN DEEPEST SOUTH TEXAS BUT WTH I AM GLAD I GOT IT. SOME FORUM MEMBERS OUT WEST WHERE SMALL CRITTERS ABOUND USE THE HECK OUT OF THEIR 16-4's.

Those are beautiful guns and thanks for the info. They had the 8in and the 4in at the auction but ive always been a long barrel kinda guy and didnt really expect to win but woulda felt guilty if i didnt try now lookin back for what they both went for i shoulda grabbed them both. I havent recieved it yet but are they factory drilled and tapped? If so my plan is probably stick a scope on it and squirrel hunt with it some, if its not what do you guys think about the no d&t mounts? I have k frame burris no d&t mounts and maybe weaver but definitely dont wanna ruin the finish or anything especially since its supposed to be nib. Thanks for any advice

Thanks. Im gonna assume mine isnt either so as far as scoping it anyone got any ideas? Ive used the weaver no d&t mount before but only on stainless guns and lined the yoke part with electrical tape to keep it from touching steel but never removed them to see if any damge happened and ive never used the burris version which has a yoke that looks lime it goes over the end of the frame, does anyone have any wxperience with those?

Of all the modern S&W revolvers this one calls to me in a 4” model. The price on them has gotten out of hand though and I doubt one ever goes in my safe.
I promise you if one were to come home with me it I would try my best to wear it out.

I really want one of those, but given I can't decide between a 4" or 6", I guess I really want 2 of them!

The 6” guns are easier to shoot accurately and the 4” is handier…..
The 8 “ gun is really the fun one to shoot as I can hit little targets more easily but it has a tube on it!

See in my house a double action with any longer than a 5" barrel never leaves the safe. Shooting your little 327 this summer didnt help me think I dont need one of these...
