That has to be a custom, built from an OM .357 frame,, by the serial number. The barrel is from a later vintage .45 or maybe a rebore, but later than the OM FT's from Ruger,, because it has "inc" in the barrel address. And the front sight is different than factory. All in all,, a VERY, VERY nice custom! And the question about the rear sights,, early OM Rugers had the rear sight, recessed into the main frame. And the front of the early "Micro" marked sight was rounded. Later on,, the front section of the rear sight was square cut.
All in all,, that is the exact type of hidden jewel we all seek.

Thanks for pointing out the frame size. I didn’t eve question as Bowen will not build a .45 Colt on a medium frame gun….at least any longer. It must have been built before the Ruger Only” loads became a liability problem

If I read that serial number correctly,, it's a 1958 frame. (16822 ?)

The star on the cylinder looks like it may have been relieved for Schofield brass.

Looks like the cylinder pin has been changed and also the front sight slant is all the way down to the sight base. Most of them I've seen have a little flat portion as it nears the base.
I own an early 3 screw 45 Colt Ruger with the 4 5/8 barrel. I put a Colt ejector rod housing on it and slanted off the back of the front sight. I believe mine to be made in 1972 right before they switched to the New Model.
