Reeder can fix that carbine Blackhawk.. Makes it a 300 GNR with a simple rechamber. More or less an improved 30 Herrett. He has dies and loading data too! Doesn't really need fixing per say. Already done some steps, throats, firelapping , blah, blah, blah. Shoots fine but I would like it better with rims. Looked at the Reeder and it was in fact my reason/fallback when I bought my first 30C. Still just lookin though.

I made this demooning tool 25+ years ago when I was cheaper and in a pinch (necessity being the mother of invention). I still use it today and it works just fine. I hold the end over a coffee can and the brass slides down the tube into the can as it is twisted loose. It was made from the leg of a broken folding chair with a dremel tool, but any tube that fits over the cartridge will probably work just fine. Haven't damaged any of my moon clips with it yet either. Here is a link to an interesting article about 45 AR reloading from Brian Pearce: www.handloadermagazine.com/45-auto-rim-p

I made several similar tools and keep one in each of my revolver cases. I also made a loading tool, similar to the TK tool. Pop stopped by while I was loading moon clips and asked to help. I had only built one tool. He said something and went to my tool chest. When he returned, he had a set of very large water pump pliers. With them, he started squeezing two rounds at a time into the clips. I still use them, much more efficient than the lever tools. Not as efficient as the twist tool but not that expensive either.
