Great history lesson. Would be another great book featuring the greats that moved us forward.
To go back to Phil Sharpe (and others) developing the 357 Mag, EK on the 44 Mag, Dick Casull, John Linebaugh and others not listed.
More of a Sixgun History Book than anything else.

March 19, 2023. One of his family members wrote the following for his memorial service:
“He smiled his signature smile as he pulled down his old cowboy hat. I asked if this was goodbye; he just shook his head and chuckled. He said that this wasn’t goodbye, just a simple see you later on the other side. I asked him how is this ‘see you later’ when you’re already gone? He said in a cowboy tone, ‘Because one day we will meet again, maybe not here on earth, but one day in another world.’ I have asked him if so, where would we meet? Then he smiled as he looked up to the sky, ‘It’ll be in greener pastures,’ he said, ‘on the back of two untamed mustangs, that is when I’ll see you again.’ Then I watched as he pulled on his boots and walked out the door. His old-timer’s laugh still filled the room. You could still smell the scent of sagebrush and gunpowder. He laughed as he watched our tears fall. ‘Stop your crying,’ he said. ‘I am up here with the good ol’ boys, catching up on lost time. Stop your tears,’ he said, ‘for I am up here with my Lord and Savior. Stop your tears,’ he said, ‘for I had done my time on this old earth. And boy … It was one hell of a run. Stop your tears,’ he said, ‘for I left the cowboy way … with my boots on.’” John, keep the beans bubbling and the bacon sizzling, but I have one request. Pick out a mild Mustang for me and I will see you soon!
Wow! Eyes are gettin little bit Juicy here. Must be alergies.

John Linebaugh's contribution to the bigbore shooters will be how he is remembered. But he was also a great man just to talk to. He is both missed and appreciated.

Truly a good read anytime, anywhere. Well written John. A fitting tribute to John. And yet,, it only scratches the surface of so many things.

Many thanks to Mr. Taffin. Thought I should share with those who may not have run across it yet... Old School GunologyIvbeen involved with handguns since early eighties! I often regrett to not give people thanks for that, and that can be a good book, a good story in the publikations or for something they ”invented” or bring something forward with a new angle😢 People and me included, call others long gone for true leaders and heroes! I want to say ”thank you” to people still roaming the earth right now so i dont need to regret it afterwards! Mr Taffin and Mr Bradshaw, THANK YOU! Thank for all the work promoting guns, mostly sixguns and cartridges, and loads for those thats still give me pleasure to read, copy for my self or just dream away, THANK YOU and looking forward for more👏👏👏
