I have recently acquired a Marlin 336 chambered in 35 Remington. Since I'm not yet setup to reload for it, I welcome any suggestions for a good load I can feed it for now. Are any cast bullet loads available commercially you may suggest, or would ya'll stay with the usual factory mfg jacketed stuff?
It's 1964 production if that influences suggestions because of rifling used at that time.

I shoot the 35 Rem. on steroids(356 Win.) and the RCBS 200 Gr. FNGC is a VERY accurate bullet. You can get them from Dave Jennings at Montana Bullet Works, cast to .359 They are good folks. Even if microgroove, you can get cast to shoot well. I use H4895 in mine(should be getting 2000-2100 fps with very little leading). but not sure what would be best in 35 Rem. Good luck...cast is alot of fun and you can get wonderful accuracy.

I love my .35 Remington. I don't know if there any commercial cartridges available that use cast bullets. I have been using mine for deer for 30+ years. I have never found the Remington Core-Lockt to be lacking. It is by far my favorite factory ammo. My reloads I like the RCBS cast mentioned above.

I use 38.5 gr. 4985 under the 200 gr. RNs, Hornady or CoreLokt.
