Put some Altamont Olive Wood Ropers on my S&W 16-4 Here are a couple crappy phone pictures. If it quits raining I can hopefully get some decent pics   |

Nice looking. Are they slim, fat, or medium. I find most Altamont S&W grips to be too slim for my taste. I do like the Roper pattern.

I have very large hands and find them a little slimmer than factory cokes. I actually find them quite comfortable though

Looks great. New Altamont grips are harder to find than new revolvers. I love the altamont ropers that came on my 5 inch half lug Gp100.

I like the Roper grips, however, I found that I could not really use moon clips with them (I think also speed loaders), so I did a little modification to allow an easier reload. It wasn't real pretty but it makes them more functional for my purposes.  |

I like all the grips in this thread, classy and a little snazzy to light them up. And that goes for you too ridenshoot, your modification is about perfect on that piece, if they ever carry wheelguns in the Space Force you are right there

Those are very nice, good-looking grips.
But whoever named them as Ropers has obviously never held a set of Ropers.

Why those look so bad you should just send them gun and all to me so I can hide them from view here on my place.... Probably under my jacket every day.
Seriously though, they do look great on a revolver I have wanted since I saw one. Yeah, I'm jealous.

That is a S & W Performance Center, Model 327, TRR8. It takes 8 shot moon clips, has a 5 inch barrel and weighs in at 35.2 ounces. Kind of ugly, which I think is what someone was alluding to in a previous post, but it is really nice to carry and quite accurate. www.smith-wesson.com/product/performance-center-model-327-trr8 |
