I thought I would share a photo of one of my Original Model Vaquero revolvers in .45 Colt. This one has a 7.5" barrel and Giraffe Bone Grips. Sorry, I can't figure out how to make the images on here bigger. Attachments:

Thanks. Looks good and shoots pretty good also. The Giraffe bone really has the look and feel of Ivory in my opinion. Now, that said, even though its the poor man's ivory..... there is no substitute for for a good set of ivory grips.

I enjoy my original older Bisley Vaquero I got my first Bisley model Blackhawk the other day. I had shunned them for so long as I just did't really like the way they looked. Then I actually finally got to hold one and fell in love with them. I would love to have a Bisley Vaquero also at some point.

Very nice. Though I've owned a pickup bed worth of Blackhawks, I've never owned a Vaquero. Same with Colts, all New Frontiers.
For whatever reason, I've always had a fear of fixed sights not shooting on.
Likely an irrational phobia that could be cured by buying a Vaquero, or two. 🙂

I too, (long ago) had a internal feeling of worry about Vaquero's & the fixed sights not regulating to point of aim. I got over it long ago. But I have had a few of them that needed tweaking to be able to shoot to point of aim. (Just ask sixshot about the one I had him test. Low & left,, but a nice tight grouping!)

I have not really had an issue with point of aim.

I have an original Bisquero in 45 Colt too that I really enjoy. I struggled with the sight picture of the fixed sights, just couldn't warm up to them. So I put S&W rear sight on it and made a new front sight and things are much better now.
